People say that artists don’t paint with their minds, but with their hearts. My creative experience confirms this idea: I strive to catch images touching my heart and soul.

Trying myself in different ways, I came to 3 themes, that became the main paradigms of my search: Physicality, Nature, Contradictions.

PHYSICALITY is all about beauty, perfection and uniqueness of a human body. I’m interested in impeccability of lines, bends, harmony of proportions, touching and beautiful defenseless nudity. More than 60 works are the basis of my solo project "Naked People" (2011). It was important for me to show that the human body has unique value, it is not just a vessel for the soul, but a self-sufficient entity. That’s why I’m really interested in people who have changed their bodies, transgenders. They are a bright example of beauty canons abolition, I strive to impress flaws harmony and movement plasticity, to emphasize loving and careful attitude to the own human body who was not afraid to go against social and moral principles.

NATURE is the source of creative power. Among my favorite objects are trees, flowers, ponds. My native city, Severodvinsk and the surrounding villages, the inclement and primeval northern region - all of these inspired me to create a lots of works united in a major project "360◦" (2017). I wanted to emphasize the untouched wild beauty of the White Sea coast, to capture the departing symmetry of the old city architecture, to reflect the seasons and moods changes of nature and people.

Traditions of Pomors, rooted in the distant past, were the main theme of the international project "Pomor cuisine" (Vardo, Norway, 2013). Pictures were collected reflecting the original cultural ties between the inhabitants of the Barents and White Seas coasts. Common characters, similar way of life, calmness of the northerners are reflected in my paintings. Pomors humor and enjoy of life allowed me to play up ironically the northern colour.

CONTRADICTIONS permeate reality, connecting the virtual and real spaces. The way we want to appear, and what we really are is a powerful contradiction that is manifested today. The works devoted to this topic became the basis for my large solo project #HASHTAG (2016). There I beat the aesthetics of the Instagram. I demonstrated with irony the obvious contradictions between the image and the text under it. All the "photos" look random, unsuccessful, and their images get into a conceptual conflict with their hashtags. The viewer faced with an endless unsuccessful attempt to capture himself is has to believe the hashtags not allowing the possible forgery, thereby revealing a persistent and irresistible contradiction between art and commentary to it.

All my works combine a common positive start, the desire to show the world a little brighter than it is. Expressive manner of mapping reality, comprehending the inner and outer in their continuous dichotomy these are the main features of my creative method.
